Passionate, research-driven, and authentic.
Throughout my life I’ve had three enduring passions.
The first is my love of music. Whether it’s house or hip-hop, drum n’ bass or doom metal – I’m an absolute nerd for it all. Just ask me for a sample playlist and you’ll see.
The second is my fondness for fighting video games. I got my first taste of just how competitive I could be when I played Street Fighter 2 when I was 6—against my oldest brother who was 17. It’s a rivalry that endures to this very day.
But the third is my favorite. It’s my love of marketing. Seriously.
When I was eight, I watched the Eddie Murphy movie “Boomerang” where he played an advertising executive. Tacky 90s’ suits aside, that movie revealed to me a field of a fascinating meld of art, creativity, science and business that I didn’t know existed – and ever since that moment, I knew “that’s what I want to do when I grow up.”
The rest is history. In 2014, I had a chance to work as both the Urban and Pop/Rock College Music Representative for Warner Music Group in Dallas, TX. The street teaming, the relationship building, and having the opportunity to work Atlantic Records’ social media during SXSW gave me the essential skills that launched my career and taught me the basics of how to be a marketer.
Since then, I’ve worked across different industries and multiple disciplines that have broadened my skill range and perspectives – from copywriting to CRM, from design thinking to building brand love. I’m adaptable, detail-oriented, creative and collaborative – but ultimately, I’m extremely passionate.
I may like music, and I may like video games – but I really love marketing. It’s that passion that has driven me to learn, grow, and innovate. And it’s that passion that I would love to share with you and your team.
